Molding Without the Mold
Comelec Srl has been producing functional plastic parts with S3 technology: Moldless Molding since 2017. We decided to invest in this application to meet the needs of our customers without asking for any investment costs such as an injection mold.
Over the years, given the strong market demand and high productivity, to date, we can boast of two latest generation printers.

HP JET FUSION 5210
The new HP JET FUSION 5210 printer is able, thanks to molecular fusion technology, to create functional parts in different materials intended for the most varied applications and market sectors. The result is a reduction in material costs, improvements in their performance and the creation of new possibilities.
The process
Molecular fusion occurs through a chemical reaction of the polymer present inside the Build Unit and two reagents called fusion agent and detailing agent.
The Printer reaches a temperature of 120° which allows the material to fuse together with the two reagents to create a finished and functional piece.
The Printer also has a printing area measuring 370 x 370 x 274 mm2 to ensure that multiple geometries can be printed simultaneously within the area itself.
